Reimagine
Youth Development and Violence Prevention
Be the Light
Preparing the Youth of today to be Active Citizens
The Reimagine program is designed to teach youth the values needed to be active citizens and members of their community. This eight week program includes learning how government works, conflict resolution, identifying and advocating for community issues, and more.
Componets include:
- Safe and supportive environments: RPSA-funded programs provide safe spaces for youth outside of school, offering activities, mentorship, and opportunities for positive engagement.
- Trauma-informed care: Recognizing that violence can be traumatic, the program emphasizes the importance of providing trauma-informed mental healthcare to young people and their families.
- Evidence-based programming: RPSA encourages the use of evidence-informed interventions, which have been shown to be effective in promoting positive youth outcomes.
- Community partnerships: Programs collaborate with schools, law enforcement, and other community organizations to create a network of support for young people.
- Staff development: RPSA providers are expected to recruit and train staff who are familiar with the community and its needs.
