Coleman joined Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House in 1999 as an AmeriCorps Member and through ongoing executive level career advancements, before being named Senior Vice President of Operations for the organization last year. Coleman has more than 17 years of experience in the social services and community development sectors. He holds a Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from Lindenwood University-St. Charles Missouri. Currently, Coleman is a board member of Project Youth Impact of St. Louis, and has been seen by many as a charismatic leader, entrepreneur, advocate for social equality, visionary, and builder with divine purpose just to name a few.
“Lessie Bates has a rich history of spurring positive change in the lives of so many across the greater metro east area. I feel my experiences as a native of East St. Louis, and recipient of the many services provided by Lessie Bates during my childhood, will further enable me to relate to those that experience poverty with little to no hope. I am honored and pleased to work with a board of directors and staff that really care about those experiencing poverty. With the combined resources of the Neighborhood House and its many community partners, we have the ability to transform lives and create processes that exceed the needs and desires of our citizens. My prayer each day will be to effective share God’s love through service to all in need” said Christopher Coleman.
